Founded in 2018, Velvetine Events is a queer, female-owned creative studio crafting bold, colourful environments for shoots, events, and installations. Velvetine brings passion and precision to every project.

Co-owners Mia and Kate combine their creative backgrounds to shape Velvetine’s distinctive work — from themed photoshoot sets and bespoke events to prop design, styling, and full set builds. Drawing on experience across burlesque, musical theatre, visual art, costume design, and production management, they bring a practical, multidisciplinary approach to every collaboration.

Velvetine Events has carved a niche in Queensland’s creative scene through its curated photoshoot set-build experiences, collaborating with many of the state’s most talented photographers.

Beyond styling, we provide gentle posing guidance and supportive direction during shoots, helping clients feel comfortable, confident, and beautifully seen in front of the camera. We understand that stepping into visibility can feel vulnerable, and we hold space with care, encouragement, and celebration.

Join The Bombshell Burlesque Academy to learn the art of tease and express yourself through burlesque in a supportive, social environment.

Presenting classes for all levels of experience in a diverse range of styles and skills at Brisbane’s only dedicated burlesque studio, there’s something for everyone with the timetable changing every term.  Adults of all genders are welcome, whether you've never stepped in front of an audience before or are a seasoned performer!

Our classes will have you feeling glamorous and having fun with likeminded people, all while learning some new burlesque tricks! And when you’re ready to step on stage, we provide the most burlesque student performance outcomes in Meanjin/Brisbane per year. With each term culminating in performance opportunities both on stage and on film with professional production, you could be stepping on stage for the first time in just 6 weeks if you choose to!

The collective of tutors at the Academy includes artists who are fully trained (having completed certificates, diplomas, and degrees), boast numerous state and national burlesque titles, or international experience - or all three - so you’re in great, satin gloved, hands!

Away from the studio, Bombshell Burlesque Events also specialises in matching expert artists to events, private performances, hens parties, pinup photoshoots, workshops, and full scale productions for venues and festivals.

Created by Burlesque Veteran Miss Polly Rae, famous for her work with long-term Kylie Minogue creative director William Baker, Haus Of Bling is a love letter to excess spectacle and the intoxicating power of being seen. A Costume Embellishment service with obsessive attention to detail with crystals placed for maximum impact even from the back row. 

Haus Of Bling doesn’t believe in holding back, it believes in bigger, bolder and brighter until the room has no choice but to look!
