THE MELBOURNE FESTIVAL OF TEASE?
The Melbourne Festival of Tease is a burlesque showcase! We are all about fun, glamour, and letting yourself enjoy the moment.
To keep the vibes high and the space safe, here are a few things to know before you step into the spotlight with us:

You can look, but don’t touch unless you're invited!
It’s simple folks admire the performers, cheer for them, adore them if you like, just don’t touch them.
The stage and the people on it are strictly hands off unless an act very clearly invites participation.
This goes for patrons and staff members too, don't touch anyone unless you have very clear concent.

Put your phone away!
We know you want to capture the magic, but please leave it to our team.
No filming, no flash, no sneaky snaps unless our MC gives you the clear go ahead.
The performers pour their hearts into these acts, and respecting their boundaries keeps the art form alive.

Be loud, be kind, and BE LOUD!
We love an enthusiastic crowd. Clap, laugh, gasp, cheer, go for it.
But keep it respectful. No heckling, sexual comments, or anything that crosses a line. Burlesque is cheeky, not creepy.
If you're being weird, you will be removed.
Stay seated during the acts!
Once the show starts, try to stay in your seat while the acts are on.
Getting up mid performance can be dangerous, breaks the vibe for everyone around you, and the performers too.
Please try your best to wait until the MC is back on stage to move around the venue.
Have a drink, not a drama!
A cocktail or two, or three is part of the fun folks. We encourage you to support the venue by ordering beverages.
however, if things tip from “tipsy” to “taking attention away from the show,” staff will step in.
We want the night to stay enjoyable & safe for everyone.
Dress to impress!
This is your time to show up and show out folks! Each night has official themes & our entire festival has a dress code. No jeans, no flip flops, no t-shirts, no casual wear. Think fancy formal wear.
Bring the good energy!
Burlesque is for everybody babe.
We celebrate all shapes, sizes, genders, & identities and expect our audience to do the same.
No judgment, no assumptions, just joy. If you can't do that, don't come.
Roll with the unexpected!
Burlesque can be funny, emotional, seductive, silly, weird, or all of the above in the same act.
Come in with an open mind and let yourself be surprised.
Try to arrive on time
Late arrivals might have to wait for a break in the show, and may miss out on where they would like to sit.
GA is first come first sat, so get in nice and early to avoid disappointment.
We aren't running on drag time for this one folk, these shows will start bang on time.
