Join Maple Rose for an exploration of the historical and practical context of classic striptease, focusing on two signature elements of the burlesque “uniform”: gloves and corsets. This workshop connects burlesque history with hands-on performance technique, revealing how these garments became essential tools of the tease and how to work them with intention and impact.
What You’ll Learn:
Historical context behind classic striptease costuming
Technique for glove peels, panel skirt reveals, and corset work
Practical tips for rehearsal and performance application
What to wear:
Please wear comfortable tight clothing you can dance in. Heels are optional.
What to bring:
Please bring your own corset & gloves, however options will be available to borrow if you do not own your own.
