Strengthen your intuitive voice through movement by allowing your body to be guided by the music. All the way from Toronto, Canada, Petra Liyahn is bringing her incredible workshop to The Melbourne Festival of Tease - A mix of slow burn, bump & grind, and playing with musicality.

​Artist bio:

Petra Liyahn is a Toronto based Dancer, Actor, Singer and Burlesque performer. Her essence is the embodiment of artistic expression. Beyond her stage presence, she champions body empowerment as a movement instructor, offering healing through dance and inspiring individuals to embrace their authentic selves one strut at a time. 

She’s a member of Les Femmes Fatales, Canada’s premiere Burlesque Troupe for Women of Colour. Petra has worked with some of Toronto’s most noted choreographers and has had the opportunity to perform nation wide. She was casted by Lee Daniels in his movie The United States VS Billie Holiday. Starred as Lady of the Lake in Becoming Burlesque (Toronto Fringe Festival & feature film), Kiesza MMVA'S performance, Psy’s “Gentleman” MMVA’S performance. Petra was a top 6 nominee of 2014 The Black Canadian Awards for "Best Contemporary Dance Act." She's now leaving her mark in the Burlesque festival world.
