Description: 

Step into the world of burlesque costuming and design your own show stopping split skirt in this beginner friendly workshop. Whether you’re completely new to sewing or looking to build your skills, this class will guide you through the fundamentals of pattern making in a supportive, hands on environment. 

What you’ll learn:

• How to take accurate body measurements for a custom fit

• Beginner friendly pattern making techniques

• How to draft a skirt pattern from scratch!

• Fabric cutting and sewing fundamentals

• Construction overview: how to sew and assemble your skirt at home

What to bring:

• Notebook and Pen (for notes)

• Device for filming (to rewatch later)

• IF POSSIBLE: Pencil, eraser, ruler, paper scissors and sharpener

Other pattern making resources will be supplied

What you’ll take home:

• Your own custom drafted split skirt pattern

• Pre recorded instructional videos to guide you in sewing the pattern at home

• Transferable notes and techniques you can reuse again and again

• The confidence to continue creating your own unique costumes!
